We may collect and use the following information to provide and improve the service.

- When you contact us: email address and the content of your inquiry/feedback
(2) Information Collected Automatically
- Device & app information: device model, OS version, app version, language/region settings, time zone
- Approximate location: country- or region-level location estimated from your IP address. Precise (GPS) location is not collected, and this is used only for usage statistics.
- Diagnostics: crash logs, error reports, and performance data (e.g., time of crash and technical details to diagnose issues)
- Usage information: screens and features used and aggregate counts such as the number of subscribed feeds. Feed addresses, article titles and search terms are not included.
- Error reports you choose to send: if adding a feed fails and you tap "Send Report", the feed address shown in the dialog (with sign-in details, query and fragment removed) is sent to Firebase Crashlytics.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive information (e.g., health data) or government-issued identifiers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information for:
- Providing and operating the service
- Improving features and user experience
- Diagnostics and stability improvements (crash/performance analysis)
- Responding to customer support inquiries
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties except:

- with your consent, or
- as described in the "Third-Party Services" section below.
4. Third-Party Services (SDKs)
We may use third-party services that process certain information to help us operate the app:
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash reporting and app stability improvements
- Firebase Analytics: usage analytics
- Firebase Remote Config: receives app settings (uses a Firebase installation identifier)
- Google News and Google Trends: when you search a keyword or subscribe to a topic, the search term is sent to Google to fetch the RSS feed; the Discover tab requests trends for the region you select
- Google favicon service: the site's domain is sent to Google to show icons on recommended feed cards
- Apple iCloud (CloudKit): your feeds, tags and saved articles sync through your own iCloud account, and the developer cannot access this data
Their processing is governed by their respective privacy policies.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above, unless a longer retention period is required by law. After that, we delete or anonymize the information.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
7. Children's Privacy
Gatherly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
